Dancing for improved  Women’s Health

Text Box: 	Did you know that women, in many ways are the superior sex. Women score higher on IQ tests, they possess keener senses than men with more accuracy at identifying odors and tastes, girls have superior capacity for processing language, they speak their first words sooner and go on to show better verbal abilities throughout life. Women smile more than men. Just check anyone’s high school year book
	Women can dance backwards better, when you watch dancing you are normally watching the women, right? Sure. Everyone knows Fred Astaire and how great he was as a dance, but think of this, Ginger Rogers did all the same dancing as he did, but danced backwards and in three-inch heels!!.
	On the bad side, women suffer more from migraine, obesity, osteoporosis and diabetes than men. Have you ever wondered why? An excellent book that really opened my eyes about women and their health concerns is by Dr. John R. Lee called, “What Your Doctor May Not tell you about menopause.” He also wrote, “What your doctor may not tell you about pre-menopause.” In other words, these books are for every woman.
	In this brief article, I want to share some shocking facts with you. Read very closely because it is information your doctor may not tell you. 
	 If you were to ask most farmers in the United States who raise cows, chickens or pigs, about what they feed their animals—you would get a surprising answer. It might be something like, “I feed my animals food that has hormones. Every farmer does. It’s good business because my animals weigh more for less feed. If I didn’t use hormones, meat for your dinner table would be $10 a pound. It’s just good business.“
	The hormones are a type of estrogen. (there are three types) Women make estrogen in their body fat, and we are eating estrogen in our meat. And that is one of the reasons why women in the United States suffer with menopausal symptoms and PMS, and women in other countries around the world don’t. Dr. Lee calls it estrogen dominance. 
	Let me explain. Women have estrogen as a normal part of our make up. In fact, there are three kinds. It’s like eating potatoes, but there are white, red and sweet. Women have testosterone—that’s the male hormone. We don’t have as much as a man, but we do have some. Of course, we have estrogen and lastly, women have progesterone. Progesterone is the hormone that helps us become pregnant and stay pregnant. Progesterone is the balancing hormone to estrogen. When we eat estrogen and our body fat makes estrogen, the progesterone cannot create balance because of the estrogen’s dominance—meaning there is too much estrogen so it has dominance—or is the strongest.
	What happens? Fibrocystic breasts, clotting periods, pre-menstrual syndrome –otherwise known as PMS, moody, angry, crying spells, thyroid problems, migraines, obesity, osteoporosis and the list goes on and on.
	Dr. Lee was a general practitioner for 25 years. During that 25 years he never lost one patient to breast or cervical cancer! Why? Because he balanced the women’s hormones in his care with the balancing hormone progesterone. He rarely if ever prescribed estrogen to his women patients. 
	So, why don’t men have problems with their health. Men eat the same meat as women in America—right? Well, men have the male hormone called testosterone. Testosterone and progesterone balance estrogen. Yes, men have estrogen, too, but not as much as a women. Since a man has much more testosterone than a women, a man’s body keeps the extra estrogen balanced. 
	When do we see this balance in men disappear? Men see this balance disappear as they grow older. Why? Because as men grow older their testosterone level decreases. When a man is around 60 years old, his testosterone level will drop to that of the level of a nine-year-old boy. That’s about the time a man will start to develop prostate problems. Yes, prostate problems are directly related to estrogen dominance. Have you seen some men who have what looks to be like mini-breasts? No, it’s not only caused by being overweight, it is also caused by the extra estrogen in men’s bodies from our food supply!
	Have you ever thought of why people in England won’t eat American beef? They lost many thousands of cows during the Mad Cow Disease epidemic, but the English refuse to eat our beef? Why? Well, let me give you a hint: The United States gives their beef bovine growth hormone, but in England giving hormones to their beef is against the law! 
	So, what can you do to protect your health? Start asking questions. Start gathering information. Read Dr. Lee’s book and do some research. Your body is the only body you will ever have here on earth.
	Change your dietary habits toward eating more whole foods that will help balance your body and protect you from many diseases. Cut down on the amount of infected meat. Eat non-hormone chicken and beef. Extra estrogen is also responsible for obesity in women which a major health concern and thyroids that don’t work..
	Read food labels –not the front of the label that’s the “adver-teasing”. Read the ingredient lists on all foods before you allow them in your mouth. Processed foods have chemicals in them. Chemicals in our food is our most dangerous pollution in the United States. 
	What’s my part in all this, it’s simple. I had migraines, I did the research to find out the causes, and thus found the cure. I went on to obtain my  Ph.D. I am available for consultation.
